Average Calculator

Your grades. Your coefficients. Your average.

Your average: / 20

Total coefficients:

Example

A 15/20 with a coefficient of 2 and a 10/20 with a coefficient of 1 give (30 + 10) ÷ 3 = 13.33 / 20.

How it works

Average = sum (grade × coefficient) ÷ sum of coefficients. If all subjects have the same coefficient, put 1 everywhere: you get the simple average.

Frequently asked questions

How do you calculate an average with coefficients?

Multiply each grade by its coefficient, add the results, then divide by the sum of the coefficients.

What if all subjects have the same coefficient?

Put 1 everywhere: the weighted average then becomes the simple average of the grades.
